RESOLUTION NO. 50

WHEREAS there has been introduced in the Congress of the United States H.R. 9219 to promote the rehabilitation of Five Civilized Tribes and other Indians of Eastern Oklahoma, and

WHEREAS it would be to the best interest of the Indian people effected that the Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes be authorized to appoint representatives with authority to assist in the administration of the act including consideration upon the preparation of rules and regulations with respect to handling of funds to be made available to individuals, Indian associations or corporate groups under the proposed rehabilitation bill, and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Inter-Tribal Council that the National Congress of American Indians assist them in this endeavor 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the National Congress of American Indians that the Secretary of the Interior and the Commissioner of Indian Affairs and all others having to do with administration under the terms of said bill, be and they are hereby memorialized to carry out the will and wishes of the Inter-Tribal Council as hereinabove stated and 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be sent to the secretary of the Interior, Commissioner of Indian Affairs, Honorable William G. Stigler and W.O. Roberts, Area Director. 

Mr. Madrano moved that Resolution No. 50 be adopted. Motion was seconded by Mr. Little. Motion was agreed to.
