DEATH MASK OF ANSHUTZ
       --------
Taken by Friend, Will Be Used as Model for Bust.

Charles Grafly, professor of the class in sculpture in the Academy Schools, and one of the members of the Municipal Art Jury, went to Fort Washington yesterday and made a death mask of the late Thomas P. Anshutz, the noted painter, who for 30 years had been an instructor in the schools of the Academy of the Fine Arts.

Mr. Grafly, who has been a friend of the dead painter for a quarter of a century, is said to have made the mask so that he can model a bust of the distinguished artist, which work, it is said, probably will become the property of the academy.

The funeral of Mr. Anshutz will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from his Fort Washington home, and the internment will be at the Hillside Cemetery, where one of the painter's children is buried.
