The ceremony seemed somewhat impersonal.  It foreshadowed the time when the operations of a vast University would be even more automated.

So ended my University years, warm, rich and fruitful beyond all anticipation.

Still I was glad to be finished. Long since, I had turned my eyes toward New York, the art capital of America and the center of the textile industry.  I looked forward to entering the University there. It would be the next step in the education of a would-be weaver and designer.
On to New York!
