New York Daily News and Dick's wife, Joy, talking shop, no doubt...hundreds and hundreds of photographs of artists, writers, architects, theater people, politicians, newspapermen, and so many beautiful women in such beautiful gowns, far too many to enumerate.

Several times, friends have asked for the use of the apartment to give parties of their own, a birthday party for Edward Durrell Stone and Evie Gates' surprise birthday gathering for her husbank [[husband]], John Gates, head designer for Corning Steuben.

But so far, the most memorable of all birthday celebrations was the one for Wes Gallagher, the General Manager of the Associated Press. It was a production of almost Broadway calibre [[caliber]]. Four talented writers on his staff put together a revue, hilarious skits based on his life. They pilloried him unmercifully and for nearly two hours the rest of us shrieked [[shrieked]]
