Biography

Robert Rauschenberg was born in Port Arthur, Texas, in 1925. He studied at the Kansas City Art Institute, Missouri, 1947; Academie Julian, Paris, France, 1948; and Black Mountian College, Beria, North Carolina, 1949-1952. He has been the recipient of numerous awards. Rauschenberg lives and works in New York City and Captiva, Florida.
