Georgia Lumpkin Co.
This contract and agreement made this 11th day of March 1867, between Daniel Weaver of said county of the first part and James Crow, a freedman, aged 20 years, of the Second part. Witnesseth, that said Daniel Weaver agrees to give said freedman his board, and one hundred bushels of corn in the fall for his services on said Weaver's farm from this date until the twenty-fifth of December next. Should said freedman lose any time from sickness or otherwise said freedman agrees the same amount of money which it takes to supply his place shall be deducted from the amount which he is to receive in corn.
Said freeman on his part agrees to perform good service and if he should leave before the expiration of his time to forfeit his entire wages.
Said Weaver also agrees to treat said freedman kindly, and to require only reasonable service.
