The nude in art is a much discussed subject. It is [[strikethrough]] to be [[/strikethrough]] granted that there is much to be justly found fault with and I think that in the hands of some, the painting of the [[strikethrough]] figure [[/strikethrough]] nude becomes as dangerous as the handling of dinamite - But when an artist - with the noble aim of a man like Watts produces a picture in which he has used the nude figure [[strikethrough]] to ilustrate his theme [[/strikethrough]] none other than the highest and purist thought will enter the mind of the observers if he himself be pure in mind.
