Dear Hood,

At the risk of losing my iconoclastic image, may I enthuse over your terrific monument. Aside from its functional attributes it is really a work of art.

Over the years I had to preside over the disposition of a great deal of art in various forms and used to watch its fluctuations from the sociological and psychological point of view, mostly in New York City.

You have often spoken with pride of Shu's (Choux Fleur?) talent and accomplishments, but you are so low key that I never got the whole picture. Anyway her contribution is truly magnificent.

You were a great host and Lois had a great time. We had the best Super Bowl party in the desert -- very soothing to the financial organ. Hope you enjoyed Stanford in spite of the result.

Keep in touch! If you ever want a quiet desert weightless sojourn, let me know.

As ever,
Fred
