Rain pours down the window. The first real rain. Began just as I finished the Moore show going strong when Leonardo arrived. L said L'Erba his girl teaches at Kentucky (so does Herb Green) that he goes there a month a year & is doing work in Florida. I really should have spent the night in Florence - if it's going to rain this hard tomorrow. But finally a use for my raincoat! The view of Flo from Forte di Belvedere was superb - the duomo, churches towers. I had never quite seen the scale of the dome before so enormous from a distance.

The Milan publisher is in crisis so rolling now on translation (pub) of book.
