To Whom it May Concern:

I have been greatly honored by receiving one of the appointments to the Chiura Obata Scholarships. I am deeply grateful to you who have made this possible.

Not only does this help me with my financial problems but it also encourages me to advance and seek the splendid educational opportunities offered in this University.

My first term on the campus has given me wonderful experiences of various nature. These experiences in turn have given me and have established within me a feeling of confidence, and security which I think are valuable to a person.

Having received this scholarship, I shall endeavor to do my upmost in fulfilling the responsibilities.

I wish to express my sincere appreciation for the appointment.

Sincerely yours,

Junko Mary Tawa
