SYNOPSIS
I. WASHINGTON -- TRAVEL MECCA
Washington is the mecca for thousands of travelers annually. From crossroads towns and distant cities the traveler consults time tables and excursion notices in expectation of a trip to the Capitol.
For these thousands the Capitol is a real mecca -- a vacation spot where he can see majestic memorials, beautiful parks and public buildings now being completed in a great capitol plan conceived by L'Infant, a Frenchman with a vision for city development.
