Miss Georgia O'Keeffe
An American Place
509 Madison Avenue
New York, N.Y.

Dear O'Keeffe:

Please find enclosed a proof from the negative in the Maurer collection. The data about this are copied on to the envelop.

Berenice Abbott has been ill in bed with a bad cold, so this is not a finished print. The negative itself is not of good quality, being exceedingly grainy.

I hope this will be of use for the record purposes you indicate.

Many thanks for your help the other day.

I understand that Miss Bry will take care of having prints made of the other Maurer portraits, for possible reproduction in the Maurer Biography. May we count on having these by the end of May?

Early in May I'll get in touch with Miss Bry and made an appointment for the photographer to come to record the Maurers in the Stieglitz collection.

My feeling is that we shall certainly want to borrow the two early landscapes and possibly one or two of the heads. I understand that this is agreeable to you, assuming that they remain in your care at the time of the exhibition.

With best wishes for your coming months in New Mexico and regards,

Faithfully yours
