EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
PARIS

October 15, 1971

Mr. Robert Reid
233 Lafayette Street
New York, N.Y. 10012

Dear Mr. Reid:

I would like to let you know how happy and proud we are to have your work exhibited in the American Cultural Center. I am sorry you were not able to be in Paris for the opening especially to answer the many questions about your work. However, through your painting you were here in spirit.

Your paintings were a vital part of the exhibition, the first of the Cultural Center's this season, and we are delighted to have been able to show the Paris art world what an outstanding American artist can produce.

I wish you continued success and hope that you will soon have another opportunity to exhibit in Paris.

Yours truly,

Arthur K Watson
