THE HASSAM FUND was established under the will of Childe Hassam, who bequeathed a large collection of his works to the Academy with the request that as they were sold the accumulated income be used to purchase pictures by contemporary artists for presentation to museums.

From this paintings in this exhibition, which are being show by invitation of the Academy Art Committee, a limited selection will be made for purchase.

We wish to express our thanks to the galleries which have cooperated by lending us pictures for this exhibition.
