Mr. John C. Rainer, Executive Secretary
National Congress of American Indians
618 Dupont Circle Building
Washington, 6, D. C.

My dear Mr. Rainer:

In reply to a questionnaire sent out by the National Congress of American Indians, as to the selection of a suitable place to hold the next meeting of the N.C.A.I., we sent you a letter on April 16, informing you that the choice of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribal members was, St. Paul, Minnesota, the capitol seat of Minnesota.

We are anxious to know if St. Paul, Minnesota has been selected as the next meeting place. If so, kindly let us know at once, as we are having our Tribal Executive Meeting on May 17 and at that time we would like to inform the members so that matters pertaining thereto can be taken up, also, the new members who will take office in June will have to be notified as to what is going on.

Then there is the matter of informing the Governor of Minnesota, Luther W. Youngdahl, whom we propose adopting into the Chippewa Tribe, on or about July 23, this would leave the 24, 25, 26 and 27th for the N.C.A.I. convention.

I had sent copies of the letter written to you on April 16, to N.B. Johnson, George LaVatta and Dan Madrao, but all were returned 'Unclaimed'. It may be that I did not give the writer sufficient addresses.

Please answer at once in regard to this matter so that same will be received in ample time before the Tribal Executive Committee Meeting on the 17th of May. Thank you.

Sincerely yours,
Ed. M. Wilson
