Nat'l Congress of American Indians
Mr. John Raimar, Secy.
618 Dupont Circle
Washington 6, D.C.

Dear Mr. Raimar:
Why not consider an eastern location for the 1952 National Convention of the Congress of American Indians.
Saratago Springs cordially invites you to meet here in 1952.
Saratoga derived its name from the Iroquois who designated it as the place of the laughing waters. The Indians used the curative properties of our many mineral waters to advantage as early as 1535 and before. The first white man known to partake of the springs was brought to our High Rock Spring in 1767 by the Mohawks although it is believed that some whites knew of the springs earlier.
In addition to our historical location Saratoga Springs offers excellent accomodations and facilities for convention groups. Resort type hotels, fine meeting rooms, good restaurants and meeting rooms are available. Meeting rooms are free of charge to convention groups.
Good swimming, fishing and boating can be enjoyed here. Scenic and historic tours can be arranged. Horse racing is a popular sport from early June to the middle of October. Other forms of entertainment can be arranged to meet your requests.
Won't you please come to Saratoga for your next convention. We shall do our utmost to please you.
Sincerely and cordially yours,
