Major, I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Blanks used in claims of colored soldiers and their heirs against the Government Very Respectfully Your obdt. Servt. A Coats 1st Lieut V.R.C. Asst. Supt. Office Asst. Supt. B.R.F. and A.L. NewBerne N.C. January 11th 1867 Fuller Brvt. Capt. R.W. Asst. Supt. Captain, I have the honor to state that two colored men, Jack Moy & Andrew Ebon, who had contracted to work for Walter Clark, have left his employ. The former is at Joel Moy's place in Marlborough. Pitt Co. The latter somewhere in Beaufort County. Please investigate the matter and inform me at your earliest convenience. Very Respectfully Your obedt Servt A Coats 1st Lieut V.R.C. Asst.
