I have to acknowledge receipt of your communication of the 25" inst. transmitting papers referring to the claims of Mary Beasley.  Upon making enquiry at the Second Auditors office, I have ascertained that there has been no unnecessary delay in this case, and that it will be ready for payment in a few days.  Please have Mrs. Beasley execute, before a Court of Record, enclosed Power of Attorney, and send same to this office.
