General

I beg leave to call your attention to the enclosed attested copy of articles of agreement made between the Confederate States and this Company, relative to the Florida Branch Rail Road connecting the Atlantic & Gulf Rail Road at Laton Station 12, with the Pensacola and Georgia Rail Road of Florida at Live Oak Station on said Road and relative also to Six hundred and thirty six tons of Rails seized by said Confederate States and by them agreed to be restored to this Company in the iron Rail laid in the superstructure of the said Florida Branch Rail Road.

My purpose is to ask that this Company may be permitted to take possession of the Six hundred and thirty six tons of Rails named in the accompanying articles of agreement as the rightful property of the Company. Presuming that the document will lay open the whole basis of the claim, I will not attempt any further
