In compliance with instructions of November 30th 1865, from Major General Howard Commissioner of the Bureau of R. F. and A. L. and subject to his approval, all right, title, and interest of the United States in the Steam-Mill, Bakery and Barrel Factory, together with the Machinery and appurtenances thereto belonging, erected by the late so-called Confederate States on the land of Nelson Tift Esq. at Albany, Dougherty County, Georgia, are hereby sold, transferred and conveyed to the said Nelson Tift Esq for and in the consideration of the sum of Seven Thousand five hundred dollars, lawful money of the United States, by him paid to Captain E.F. Watson, A.Q.M.U.S.V. and Chief Quartermaster of the Bureau R.F. & A.L for  the State of Georgia, or his successor in office.
