Dear General
I presume you are overwhelmed with applications for positions and clerkships from your old army acquaintances and with that number I beg leave to add mine.  Should you have a position or clerkship that you would like to give to one of your old staff, it will be very thankfully received.  Was mustered out in February last and am now at leisure.
