I have the honor to request that you will furnish this bureau, if in your power, with information as to the present residence of Richard T. Griffin, the freedman whose feet were amputated in Jonesboro Tenn. they having been frozen in his attempt to escape to the Union lines.  It is believed that he was in this city a short time ago.
