K15 War Department Bureau of Military Justice January 18th, 1866. To the Secretary of War: J.E. Griffith, agent of the Freedman's Bureau, at Jonesboro', Tenn, writes to Brig. Genl. Clinton B. Fisk, Asst. Commissioner, under date of Sept. 13. 1865, relating to the case of Richard E. Griffin, a colored man. He encloses statements. of William Wilds, Dangerfield Nelson, and Asberry Laughlin, in which the following facts are alleged. Griffin worked for Wm. G. Gammon, at.
