assessed me as damages in the sum of $5.00 and compelled me to deposite the further sum of $25 for the forthcoming and appearance of Mr Kernaghan's dog, they at the same time fined Mr Cooper in the sum of $5 and ordered his Tan Terrier to be killed which to the best of my knowledge & belief was ~ immediately put in execution by shooting said dog. Subsequently Mr Kernaghan appeared before the same court when the said sum of $25 was returned to me, and Mr Kernaghan was compelled to deposite a like sum of $25 for his appearance on the following ~ Wednesday to answer charges concerning said dogs, which said sums so assessed and left on deposit is still in the hands of Mr Bryant.
