The House and Lot immediately above the female academy fronting fifty feet on Spring Street continued, commonly called Church Street, is the property of the heirs of Jesse Collins of Davidson County Tennessee, and James A Dibbell Trustee for his mother and sisters who live in Richmond Virginia, one half to each.  In September 1859, I filed a Bill for the division of the property and during the war Jesse Collins who was a very old man died and last year I filed a bill to revive the suit which is still pending in the Chancery Court in Nashville to revive the suit and Mr. Howell the clerk of the court is appointed Receiver to collect the rents.
When I filed the first Bill, one Thomas W. Barnes was in possession as a renter from year to year under Joseph B. Knowles agent for the Dibbells and he was in possession in 1862 when he left Nashville.  The property was never
