The paintings show conditions that barrio people are already quite familiar with - it is outside that must be made aware....

Fel: reacting to isolationism & subtle segregation...must work for availability of more cosmopolitan areas...

Jes: we are like P.R. - take our work out to communicate...we are like warriors getting it from all sides....

Mel: never lost contact, always influenced; but since WWII ceased looking back to Mexico for nourichment....the invasion is already on the walls - now a physical invasion is needed.

There are too many facets within the movimiento; we have different leaders. As artists our responsibility lies in being visual projectionists (to emerge as such).

We are involved together for the betterment of the Chicano. In a sense we cannot formulate a definite ideology philosophy. the present state of the movement insures that both these areas are in a constant state of change....Our I &P are not yet through the process of nascency....
