about four thousand dollars ($4,000.) when presented to me by the proper agent Stocker Matthews. The other half of the money Capt Bohrer retained for himself. The amount during my transactions with Bohrer paid to him by me, would be as near as I can recollect, between Seven and Eight thousand dollars. I am also confident, to the best of my knowledge and belief that Bohrer had similar transactions with other parties in the City of Baltimore; doing business as Substitute Brokers &c. My impression is that the amount drawn upon the Certificate given to me by Capt Bohrer was between Twenty five and Thirty thousand dollars.

There was a white man who was shipped by Capt Bohrer whose name I do not recollect; I collected the City bounty for this man and gave it to Capt Bohrer. I do not know what disposition Capt Behrer made of this money.
