Dear Hugo Gellert:

I have heard nothing further since our rather hasty telephone conversation about a month ago about the situation as to my nomination on the Committee of Design. Since then I have been thinking it over I have discussed it with several people and have felt more and more that under favorable circumstances a lot might be done for art and artists in New York through this committee.

I spoke briefly about it to Robinson who very kindly assured me that he felt there would be no difficulty getting a release from the Fine Arts Center later on in the Spring especially if the case were urgent and important.

I should therefore be grateful to you if you could keep me informed at my above address (or Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. Col. Springs. Col.) just what the situation is or what modifications of plans, if any.

Ever sincerely
George Biddle
