THE ARTISTS UNION 430-6TH AVENUE NEW YORK CITY STUYVESANT 9-0427 [[logo]] PAINTERS SCULPTORS GRAPHIC ARTISTS November 30, 1936 Hugo Gellert Secretary Artists Coordination Committee 100 W. 13th Street New York City Dear Sir: Your letter sent to members of the Municipal Art Committee in requesting the holding of the meeting promised by Mrs. Breckinridge, is approved by us. It is important to hold that meeting in order to gain representation on the Municipal Art Committee and you may count upon our continued support. We believe that the A.C.C. has been successful in establishing an enviable position among artists organizations by its effectiveness in consulting with the directors of the Federal Art project and thereby helping to improve working conditions and helping to obtain higher hourly pay for the artists on the projects. It is our hope that continued cooperation among the societies represented by the Artists Coordination Committee will enable it to add further achievments to its splendid record. Sincerely yours, Harry Gottlieb Harry Gottlieb President Artists Union of New York HG:WB BS&AU
