American Artists' Congress,
100 West 13th St., N.Y.C.

Dear Hugo Gellert:

Having made inquiries of Stuart Davis regarding procedure in working for a municipal art center, he has referred me to you.

Though we recognize that the situation in New York is quite different than in Los Angeles, still we feel that there are certain fundamental similarities and that we might very well profit by your experience and your mistakes if you would be so good as to the summarize them for us.

We shall appreaciate any information, which I hope will include actual accomplishments made by the artists in New York through their struggles.

With warmest greetings,
Grace Clements
