planting. First thing was to move the three privet hedges around to the back of the little pool. They look lovely there - and then we planted the plants from home - separating the lilies & the iris & Annie Jewett's flower - into clumps. And also planted all my Leonards gifts - "love in the mist (also known as "devil in the bush") delphinium, larkspur, johnny-jump-ups spiraea, a big grass (Leonard says it has plumes that one can cut & dry & for the winter) - and altogether there was a lot of work - no flowers in sight - so I told Oggie I had to be sentimental & please to get some English daisies - two clumps on the edge - the looked so sweet - and all we did was planned - it took about 5 hours of digging & watering, & I think we planted about 75 plants in all - So it is almost a real garden now - We watered the whole & washed down the wall with the hose - & were plumb tired out
