Could see Tangiers through Binocs. Water so blue.

Darling-

We arrived by tender a few minutes ago- it's 8:20 pm now. Arriving took hours & the voyage was all excitement from 3 pm on, when the ship had Africa on one side, Spain on the  other, & both clear & near. Looked dry & hot, rocky & like marble cake. I can't get land legs yet. Beautiful sunset. Captain asked me alone for tea, & bridge inspection. gay. Gibraltar looks busy & over-protected. About to go through customs. I love you. XXX, Helen.
