AFRICOBRA OBJECTIVES

The African Commune of Bad Relevant Artists is a Chicago based family of nine (9) image makers moving towards Nation consciousness and Pan-African awareness. Further, we see ourselves as a positive, cultural catalyst within the political and educational struggle of the minds, bodies and spirits of our community,

We ward off the dangers to our survival in this land by informing on King Alfred and the ever present oppression. We come upon our message from genesis to genocide, and the triumph over both, as we praise the unity which will make it all possible.

In the spirit of Pan-African awareness, we foster among ourselves a comradship [[comradeship]] that grows in the knowledge that art is vital to the survival of our people. Thus, comes the salvation of growth for similar organizations.

The reality of the Africobra-Multi-color-hand-screened poster prints is one tangible result of having reached a relevant goal through a communal work effort. The cost is low and the quality is high -- for quality is one main concern. Because we feel that we deserve the very best of one another, we should come to expect the very best.

We are concerned with technique, Black aesthetics and graphic Afro-rhythms. We add to this our personal perspective to achieve the right balance between message and image. When we are satisfied, and the two become one, we say ......."That's an Afri-cobra Weapon".
