Dear Ad,

You will find this letter a reiteration of our conversation on Friday but I thought it would be good to get some of this on paper as a basis for future discussions.

Your letter to Betty mentioned the following names in connection with the exhibition we are now projecting for the fall: Robert Morris, Tobey, Mathias Goeritz, "one or two of those 'new conception de rechercher d'art visuel' Frenchmen"; "an Italian here and there, maybe even a Japanese girl". We will do whatever leg work is necessary if you will select the paintings and write the foreword to the catalog. I think if we start now we will be able to get any thing you might decide upon.

Also, I will begin collecting your writings and have them photostated, hoping to have everything in hand by the first of the year. This will give us some idea of what direction to take in finding a publisher and establishing a format for the book.

Thank you for the evening of calligraphy and the discussion over dinner.

Sincerely,
Dale
