Mr. Wayne Andrews
521 Neff Road
Grosse Pointe, Michigan 48230

Dear Mr. Andrews:

I haven't replied to you for some time. The reason is that I haven't been able to get copies of any of the books except Architecture in New York. The others are on order at Weyhe.

To change the subject, I have heard rumors that there will be Cornell boxes and collages for sale and that dealers in New York are making overtures. As I believe I had the last two "official" shows of Joesph's work, and in view of the fact that I am mentioned, albeit as a substitute, in his will, perhaps I should throw my hat into the ring. I have always admired his work as you must know, and would be pleased to handle it. I represent, among others, the estates of the American sculptors John Storrs and Gaston Lachaise, as well as some distinguished contemporary American painters. I have for seventeen years been a dealer specializing in American painters and sculptors of the 19th and 20th centuries. I am a member of the Art Dealers Association of America and a former member of the board of that organization and could provide umpteen references.

I hope you are having a reasonably cool summer. I hope to get away for a while in August.

Sincerely,
