Dear Bob.

As I noted when we spoke the Foundation proposes to give the work known as the Marcel Duchamp Dossier to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

If no problems develop in connection with the gift and Walter Hopps confirms his valuation of the work at $300,000 the gift will satisfy the mandatory distribution requirement for 1989. The Philadelphia gift will also give us time to work on the larger gift of collages which it is hoped will be made to the NMAA later this year or in 1991.

To record the approval by the Trustees of the gift to Philadelphia would you please sign the enclosed minute and return it to me.

I hope that everything is back under control and that the planned surgery can take place soon and that all goes well.

Best,
Robert
