time. Today I especially thought of you and always do when I look at my [[stained?]] boots they were in a fine state I fear you would have had a fit, but today they are pollished and illuminate fill my room with their reflected light - I am sure you would be pleased - The children here are a nuisance when you sketch, they croud about you talk for all they are worth and admire or scorn your work. I can understand them but as to speaking the language is [[fearly?]] everything mixed, it is very funny - when the natives speak it it does not sound as but a lady here can speak very nicely, but it always sounds different and childish when I hear her talk it - It is too bad the weather is so warm I do hope it will be better, I freze here so that I brought some heavy things and now of course it is warmer, but when one sits out doing [[?]] as we do it is necessary to have something warm on - we breakfast at 730 some come in late, and go to bed early, the village people retire at nine or soon after - I am sitting under a clump of willows and a charming breeze is blowing around me - have a new easel and a board & a nice chair so I do not have to stay in doors when I write. As the others do, I cant see how they like it, when they days are so fine - I shall close I know you do not enjoy my letters do write soon - Hoping you are all well I am with love you sister Dodo
