Dear Edw, 
We are really here and almost settled, but how we had to scrub and run before it, (the rooms) looked presentable -  Nik & I and two girls - Friday the others came, horses & all and today we are nearly fixed -  and are glad of it - Yesterday I tried the horse which went quite nicely, but seemed 

lost in this strange country (been trying yours) today the others are going driving I shall rest. G. has found a small tree in which she takes refuge it is near the ice house. The house is quite nice but very ugly especially from the outside as it is painted a very ugly brown color. The Mosle's cottage is very fine a half an hours walk from us, the Mays and village are same distance so we are not near our friends. I
