Benedite, curator of the Luxembourg Museum, has spoken of her as follows:

"In judging her craftsmanship we need consider her only as an artist, for she is one who bears the title with just pride and dignity."

She married, August 25, 1896, Harry Payne Whitney, and their children are: Flora P., who married Roderick Tower, son of Charlemagne Tower, of Philadelphia; Joan; and Barbara. The family's city residence is at No. 871 Fifth Avenue, New York City.
