We all went to the [[?]] with Carl Fritz, & I saw [[?]] Ethel there, who said it was a crazy night- Arthur Pound and [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] Mr Waters were both replaced by understudies -

the [[illegible?]] [[illegible?]] was a Presbyterian clergyman, and Mr Waters a sort of Carmen with arms akimbo - however we all enjoyed the music - and I appreciated the second act more than the first time- However I think I still like the final act best - and to me the lighthouse is the gem of it all- It would be an awful
