April 16-
THE
COPLEY-PLAZA
BOSTON

A line in haste to say that your letter has come and the photographs, which were welcome, both of them - But what a wretched photo of the French Mancini, the old [[?]]! - I find it is almost bad policy to show it to the museum

I notice your photos do not include the Oread (?) full length woman of Mrs. Swynnerton. Are you not selling that? If you are do send me a photo of it -

As it is to be an auction I dare say you do not know what to answer about the prices -

Aren't the Henry James letters splendid?

Yours ever
John S. Sargent

Transcription Notes:
Annie Swynnerton was a British painter who painted Italian landscapes, among other things. She painted "Oreads", which is now at the Tate. Note that her name is mentioned in other pages in this project now marked "complete", but her name is [[?]].
