or goes to the Gymnasium (three times a week) or goes into the country for a day's walk, which happens at least once a month. John also studies drawing and is making excellent work.

Emily is quite well just now, and is quite industrious at her books, - asmuch so as we think it proper to allow, in view of her spine and her "often infirmities".

The baby (Violet) is now 11 months and has not a tooth in her head, at least she has none visible; we wonder sometimes if she ever will have any.  She appears to be well and is certainly quite strong, physically.

Mary suffers a good deal from Neuralgia, depending I suppose upon her teeth being shaky. As for myself, I have not had an attack of vertigo since I gave up drinking milk in coffee; in fact I have given over coffee also.

And now, my dear father, do let us hear from you soon and good news about all of the family.
