and the University of California at Berkeley. A freelance artist since 1960; since 1983 she has worked in the capacity of program development officer, Arts America Program, U.S. Information Agency. Her career has also included curator, workshop coordinator, consultant, and art commissioner for the City of San Francisco, 1976-1979. Exhibiting in group and individual shows, her works are in collections in Boston, California, and Illinois. Since 1977 she has received numerous awards for her work. 

Sylvia Snowden 
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina in 1946, she attended Howard University from which she received a B.A. and M.F.A., studied in Paris, France, and attended the Skohegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. Ms. Snowden has participated in numerous group and individual exhibitions in Washington, DC and Baltimore receiving numerous awards for her work.

Shirley Woodson
Born in Pulaski, Tennessee in 1936, she attended Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan receiving a B.F.A. in 1958 and also attended the School of Art Institute of Chicago in 1960. She has been a art educator since 1958 and since 1995 an adjunct professor at Wayne State University. She has been in individual and selected group exhibitions since 1968. Her works are included in collections in museums and colleges in Detroit, Boston, New York, and Washington, DC.
