where we were to go by coach through the trossachs.  It was too rainy to get more than a mere idea of the country we were going through still we got some lovely little vistas through the typical birch trees and richly covered rocks of moss. The landscape is nothing but hills with occasionally a half hidden lake, or a dancing brook.

It was quite remarkable the pace the horses went up and down the hills and swung around the slippery corners.

Going down the hill to Loch Katrine we came in view of Ben Venue with it's pointed peak thrust through the heavy rain clouds.

Taking a small steamboat to the other end of the picturesque lake; and catching a glimpse of Ellens Isle on the way. We took another coach drive to Loch Lomond where we stopped at the Hotel for lunch
