me to get up and I'm a bad boy. But when I go up I'll make an extra effort. A good way to get up early is to go to bed early. You know last year I got to know quite well the station master at Storm King station. He lives in a little house quite near the tracks. Well I think Ill write to him and ask him to put me up for a couple of nights so that I can be right on the spot in the mornings. He is a funny man and quite interesting as he is fond of taking photographs of Hudson River scenes. I am afraid I will keep awake from the noise made by the trains thundering through the tunnel.

One of my best friends is going to get married next week and he lives just above me in the studio building. When he marries is going to live in his apartment with his wife. [[image]] He has been a great help to me because he talks straight and generally says just what he means. He tells me just what he thinks of my pictures when I paint them and that is a great help. He very seldom flatters.

Tonight I took out a big map of the United States and look at the State of Texas to find out exactly in what part of the state you were. The nearest point I found was Del Rio. The place you have spoken about in your letters. I found that you were very near the border line and the Rio Grande river and it was not at all in the same
