Mr. Gifford Beal
27 West 67th Street
New York, N. Y.

Dear Mr. Beal:

Permit me to acknowledge receipt in this office of your revised black and white design representing Allen at Trout Hall.

This has been considered by the members of the Section and I am pleased to tell you is regarded as a decided improvement over the previous sketch of this subject matter. The elements of the design are handsomely composed and it seems that both figures have architectually [[architecturally]] attained greater significance in the new design. You may regard it as approved and incorporate it in the series.

The design is being photographed and returned to you under separate cover, at Rockport, Massachusetts.

Congratulating you upon your achievement and wishing you continued success in the progress of your work, I am

Cordially yours,

Ed Rowan
