Chilblains hands & feet. otherwise very well, but too dark to work & too cold for Zoo. Like nature I lie fallow. Even Sally who generally cares for neither rain nor ordinary cold, refuses to go out anymore. Says she's had enough of snow flakes she can never catch. Pretty coloured umbrellas go by, cheerful bits of colour in a black & white world. I had to scrounge for water down the road found one person not frozen up. The lavortory hangs icicles very nicely & if one is'nt careful, one unfreezes the seat when sitting on it. All this is a new experience of course. Was told by an italian that even in the boot of Italy they have had snow in some of the villages where
