I have not begun that green sweater yet. & I don't believe I ever thanked you for the wool. I will knit on it in Cal. this winter - unless the Influenza keeps me at home. It is keeping me away from the Stores. & it will make Xmas shopping worse than difficult.

I am in perfect dread these days of Telegrams. with all the family exposed to the Influenza in different parts of the Earth, I am fearing one or more of them may get a bad dose. Bill is

treasure as Emily. I know Emily has always been rather next to you, so I guess that is why I have been rather dwelling on her charms this morning. The children have come down to breakfast and this means I must be up and doing. I practice music with Emily 1 hr. a day. Sometimes more. I changed music teachers and am 
better satisfied.   I did not start Jane on music this Autumn. She has had a lot of school work to do, having gone behind with Arithmetic & Language during our Cal. trip & that work to make up & hard Latin lessons seemed to be about all she could handle for the present.
