it is too late.   Come out to us here in Portland & go South with us. I want a week or two at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco. I love it there. & then we will motor South. It would be wonderful to have you & Virginia & Carey with us. I cannot stay in L.A. for I must get these children where they can keep up with their studies. & Coronado is the only place I know of down there where they agree to do it.

It is time now for me to attend to my household duties for the day so will close. Hoping you are all escaping the "Flu". & that you are taking the Afternoon nap or rest you promised yourself. & that you will look into [[strikethrough]] next [[/strikethrough]] this and next weeks lesson. when you have some quiet moments.

Tell Carey I am going to mail some C.S. magazines to him sometimes & I hope he will look them over. He would be interested in them & these lessons I am sure. but he must be led a little to them.
