This letter is borne by Capt John Amrein of the 4th Vet Reserve Corps
Capt A is desirous of obtaining a position in the Freedmans Bureau.
I can cheerfully say that during my acquaintance with Capt "B" I have found him a man of more than ordinary ability as an officer. I believe him to be loyal in fact as well as in name. He is unusually well versed in Military jurisprudence and seems to be well fitted for the position he desires
